For Friends of the Park, Dennis gave a lecture and held a book signing at the Roundabout Festival, held at the Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park.

"This festival allowed almost 10,000 people to visit the Chickamauga Battlefield and provided what we sincerely hope was a memorable day of entertainment and education for children and adults .... We thank you very much for being a part of the effort to support our beloved Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park by being a true Friend of the Park. Your effort and support are deeply appreciated.

Gratefully,
Karen S. Diamond, Director

Mr. Dennis Keesee has presented two Civil War programs at our library in the past six months based on his book "Too Young To Die". The first program held at one of our branches was so successful that we asked Mr. Keesee to come back and do another program and book signing at our Main Library.

Mr. Keesee travels with Civil War memorabilia in glass cases and displays photographs on fold out units. The author uses the memorabilia as backdrops for his talks. In Newark, the audience was particularly interested in the boy drummer, John Klem, a Newark native. Dennis captivated the audience with his insights on Klem and brought Klem's sword and several original Civil war photographs of the drummer boy to illustrate the story.

I highly reccomend a program by Dennis Keesee. As a Civil War memorabilia collector and author he knows his subject thoroughly and can captivate an audience with stories about the war and the boys that served in the Union Army.

"Kudos for the fine program at the Delaware County District Library last night! As they say in show business, "You packed the house." ... Thank you very much for providing the library with the opportunity to present your program .... Good luck with your next book on World War II. I'd be pleased to have you in a return engagement in the future.

With much appreciation,

Mary Jane Santos, Assistant Director
Delaware County District Library
