39th Ohio 1927 Reunion Ribbon $ 22.00

This 1927 ribbon was worn by a proud veteran of the 39th Ohio Infantry at their annual gathering. The 39th was one of four regiments in Fuller's Ohio Brigade. The regiment saw extensive action throughout the war fighting at New Madrid, Island No. 10, Corinth, Iuka, The Atlanta Campaign, and Sherman's March to the Sea.

In Memoriam circular printed by the California Commandery of the Loyal Legion at the passing of comrade George Henry Stevens, June 12, 1906. Brief biography is one and a half pages long and states Captain Stevens served with the 5th Iowa Infantry, as a wagon master with the 17th Corps, and a Captain in the 48th U. S. Colored Infantry. As a scout early in the war Quantrel offered $5,000.00 for him dead or alive. Injuries from the April 18th 1906 earthquake led to his death at the age of 74.
